Description
Spicy Sriracha Hummus — a healthy, tangy, spicy dip that doesn’t need tahini or added oils. Ready in minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 (15 oz) can chickpeas
- ⅓ cup bean liquid (reserved from the can)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 3 T Sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
Instructions
- Rinse and drain the chickpeas, reserving ⅓ cup of the bean liquid.
- Add the chickpeas, reserved bean liquid, lemon juice, Sriracha, chili powder, cumin, paprika, and cayenne to a food processor or blender.
- Blend until smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed. Add a little more bean liquid if you prefer a thinner consistency.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and taste; adjust seasoning or Sriracha to your preference. Serve with veggies, pita, or crackers.
