Description

Spicy Sriracha Hummus — a healthy, tangy, spicy dip that doesn’t need tahini or added oils. Ready in minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 oz) can chickpeas
  • ⅓ cup bean liquid (reserved from the can)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 3 T Sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)

Instructions

  1. Rinse and drain the chickpeas, reserving ⅓ cup of the bean liquid.
  2. Add the chickpeas, reserved bean liquid, lemon juice, Sriracha, chili powder, cumin, paprika, and cayenne to a food processor or blender.
  3. Blend until smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed. Add a little more bean liquid if you prefer a thinner consistency.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and taste; adjust seasoning or Sriracha to your preference. Serve with veggies, pita, or crackers.
