Pears and Bulgur Breakfast Bowl: Cozy Morning Grain Recipe

Ingredients:
1 large pear, cored and chopped
1 cup pear nectar (or other fruit nectar)
1 cup water
1 cup uncooked bulgur
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 pinch salt
4 ounces low‑fat vanilla yogurt (about 1/2 cup) or 4 ounces soy yogurt

Directions:
Combine the bulgur, pear nectar, water, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
Stir in the chopped pear, cover the pan, reduce the heat to low, and simmer until the liquid is absorbed and the bulgur is tender, about 12–15 minutes.
Spoon the cooked bulgur and pear mixture into four bowls and top each serving with 2 tablespoons of vanilla or soy yogurt.
